Charles Leclerc Named Monaco’s 2026 Goodwill Ambassador at Hôtel de Paris Gala

The Monaco Ambassadors Club marked its annual Goodwill Ambassador Award Gala on 2 April 2026, with H.S.H. Prince Albert II presenting the title to Formula 1 driver Charles Leclerc in a ceremony combining institutional recognition and a charity auction supporting four international organisations.

Held at the Hôtel de Paris Monte-Carlo, the 2026 edition of the Goodwill Ambassador Award Gala centred on the formal naming of Charles Leclerc as the Principality’s Goodwill Ambassador for the year. The title was presented by H.S.H. Prince Albert II, reinforcing the institutional weight of an award that has become one of the fixed points in Monaco’s spring calendar.
The gala was organised by the Monaco Ambassadors Club under its presidents Filippo Ghirelli and Christian Moore, together with general secretary Alessandra Sparaco. The choice of Leclerc — a Monégasque driver competing at the highest level of international motorsport — aligns the 2026 edition with the Club’s stated objective of recognising figures whose visibility extends Monaco’s presence beyond its borders.

The evening included a charity auction structured around nine exclusive lots. Proceeds were directed to four organisations: the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation, Rondine Cittadella della Pace, Comunità San Patrignano, and the Latin Patriarchate of Jerusalem Association. The selection covers environmental work, peace-building, social rehabilitation and humanitarian activity in the Middle East, reflecting the Club’s effort to balance philanthropic causes across distinct fields rather than concentrate support in a single area.
The 2026 edition was supported by Infracorp, VistaJet, Robb Report, Moravia Yachting and CFM Indosuez. The musical programme featured pianist Davide Locatelli, followed by a set from DJ Jack-E, structuring the evening as a transition from formal ceremony to a later, more informal phase.
Among the attending parties, the Monaco Young Ambassadors Club had a notable presence. Its growing role within the broader Club structure points to a deliberate effort to integrate younger members into the organisation’s long-term direction, ensuring continuity of its institutional and international activities.
The 2026 Goodwill Ambassador Award Gala operated less as a single ceremony than as a coordinated evening combining recognition, philanthropy and institutional networking. By naming Charles Leclerc, the Monaco Ambassadors Club aligned its annual award with one of the Principality’s most internationally visible figures, while the charity auction reinforced the event’s function as a fundraising platform. Within Monaco’s spring calendar, the gala continues to occupy a clearly defined position at the intersection of cultural representation and philanthropic engagement.
The event was organised by WE CREATE, a boutique event agency led by Anna Titova, known for producing high-end, concept-driven experiences across international locations.
