At the crossroads of performance, wellbeing, and human connection, THIRTY-NINE Monte-Carlo has emerged as one of Monaco’s most distinctive private members clubs.Since taking the helm following its reopening in 2025, Club Director Cyrille Pinçon has been shaping the club with a clear vision: one that goes beyond facilities and services, and speaks instead to balance, community, and a long-term art of living. In this conversation, he reflects on leadership, transformation, and what modern wellbeing truly means in Monaco today.
iPremium: You recently took the helm at THIRTY-NINE Monte-Carlo. What personally attracted you to this project, and how did your first impressions shape your vision of the club’s mission?
Cyrille Pinçon: I took on the role of Club Director at THIRTY-NINE Monte-Carlo upon its reopening on June 2, 2025. What immediately drew me to the project was, above all, the challenge: reviving an iconic place and giving it a renewed purpose, deeply rooted in wellbeing, human connection, and the member experience.
THIRTY-NINE is not a club like any other. It is a private Members Club built around a holistic vision of wellbeing — physical, mental, and social — perfectly aligned with Monaco and its discerning clientele. From my very first impressions, I sensed a strong potential: to create a place where performance coexists with balance, where service excellence goes hand in hand with benevolence, and where each member feels genuinely supported.
As Club Director, my mission naturally took shape around this vision: to structure, develop, and embody a club that goes beyond facilities and services, offering instead a true lifestyle experience designed for the long term.
iPremium: Your career in hospitality began on the ground, from food & beverage to general management. Which experience marked a turning point in your understanding of leadership and human relationships?
Cyrille Pinçon: Indeed, my career did not begin at the top. I started at the very base of the hospitality and restaurant industry, working my way up step by step. This progression allowed me to build a vision of the profession that is firmly anchored in operational reality.
Early on, I had the opportunity to work abroad, in different countries and cultures. That exposure — combined with the many human and professional encounters along the way — taught me adaptability, listening, and the importance of understanding very diverse profiles. These experiences fundamentally shaped my relationship with people and my ability to create meaningful connections.
This entire journey — marked by international experience, demanding environments, and increasing responsibilities — became a turning point in my leadership philosophy. A leadership based on example, empathy, and the ability to unite teams around a shared project. These principles were further reinforced during my most recent experiences in the Principality, notably through the opening of two emblematic Monte-Carlo establishments, where operational excellence must always be matched by genuine care for teams and guests alike.
iPremium: Personal growth is not only about skills, but also inner transformation. Today, what personal quality do you consider your strongest professional asset — and why?
Cyrille Pinçon: I would say my greatest professional strength lies in an equilibrium I have built over time: the balance between attentive listening and rigorous organisation. Personal growth, in my view, goes far beyond technical expertise — it involves an inner transformation in how we manage human relationships while remaining structured and effective.
I make a point of listening sincerely, valuing ideas from every level, and staying open to different perspectives. I am convinced that good ideas can come from anywhere, regardless of position. This ability is essential in fast-paced environments where decisions must often be made quickly and multiple issues managed simultaneously.
Organisation allows me to stay ahead of operations while remaining fully present for teams. While the final decision ultimately rests with me as a leader, it is always informed by collective reflection and dialogue. At leadership level, rigidity is counterproductive — adaptability, listening, and the ability to bring people together are what truly sustain excellence.
iPremium: The club is built around the philosophy of “making life better.” How do you interpret this idea, particularly within Monaco’s wellbeing and social landscape?
Cyrille Pinçon: My vision is grounded in a global and sustainable approach to wellbeing. We live in a world that moves extremely fast, where performance often takes precedence over balance. I firmly believe that the places of tomorrow — and especially Members Clubs — must offer more than services; they must offer meaning, time, and quality of presence.
The goal is not to do more, but to do better. To create environments that care not only for the body, but also for the mind, human relationships, and a sense of belonging. Wellbeing is no longer a trend — it is a necessity, and it must be designed with a long-term perspective.
For me, modern luxury lies precisely in this ability to deliver sincere, personalised experiences rooted in strong values, where every detail has purpose and the human element always remains central.
iPremium: THIRTY-NINE is recognised as far more than a gym — it is a place of wellbeing and connection. What do members value most upon their first visit?
Cyrille Pinçon: THIRTY-NINE was conceived as a true living space, where wellbeing is expressed in all its forms. Beyond physical training, members have access to a complete ecosystem: wellness treatments, hair and beauty services, relaxation areas, dining, and social moments.
Each member is free to come to perform, refocus, unwind, or simply share time over a meal or a drink. This social dimension is fundamental. It allows people to connect naturally within a community that shares common values and a similar mindset.
This holistic approach is what truly defines THIRTY-NINE: a place where people take care of themselves, while also feeling a strong sense of belonging — all within an elegant, human environment deeply rooted in the Monégasque art of living.
iPremium: You lead a place where people seek not only results, but meaning. What makes THIRTY-NINE a genuine place of transformation?
Cyrille Pinçon: Wellbeing today is no longer about isolated practices or physical performance alone. It is about balance, self-awareness, and a more conscious way of approaching daily life.
Taking care of oneself means allowing time, knowing when to slow down, surrounding oneself with the right people, and evolving within environments that make sense. True luxury lies in the quality of experience, in the authenticity of relationships, and in the ability to create a lasting balance between body, mind, and social life.
This is the philosophy we strive to embody every day — and one I invite each member to integrate in their own way, both personally and professionally.
iPremium: Does your background in high-end gastronomy influence the way you design the member experience in a wellbeing club?
Cyrille Pinçon: Absolutely. My experience in fine dining strongly shapes my vision of the member experience. I have retained its essential codes: attention to detail, service excellence, grooming, attitude, and the importance of flawless equipment.
This level of expectation is reflected throughout the club — from state-of-the-art Technogym equipment to the advanced treatments offered at Studio 39, and Counter 39, where fresh, healthy products naturally support our wellbeing philosophy.
Just as in gastronomy, a successful experience is one that leaves a lasting impression. My goal is for members to leave the club feeling they have enjoyed a seamless, elegant, and memorable moment — where every detail has been thoughtfully considered.
iPremium: Innovation is central to the club. What technologies or methods are you most keen to develop at THIRTY-NINE?
Cyrille Pinçon: From its reopening in June 2025, innovation has been an integral part of the project. THIRTY-NINE was designed around technologies that bring real added value to both performance and holistic wellbeing.
We integrated fully connected Technogym equipment and a dedicated assessment space that serves as the starting point of each member journey, enabling a deep understanding of individual needs and objectives. Studio 39 was conceived as a high-precision technological environment, incorporating targeted ultrasound and radiofrequency to work non-invasively on body contouring and skin quality.
In 2026, this approach was further enhanced with the introduction of infrared sauna therapy, fully aligned with our long-term vision of recovery, relaxation, and balance. For me, innovation must always be coherent, meaningful, and sustainable — at the service of human support, never replacing it.
iPremium: You lead a community-driven space. What invisible challenge do Monaco’s elites face today — and how can THIRTY-NINE respond authentically?
Cyrille Pinçon: In Monaco, the invisible challenge is rarely a lack of resources, but rather a lack of time, perspective, and sometimes genuine connection. In a highly demanding environment where performance is constant, it can be difficult to truly recentre oneself and build sincere relationships.
THIRTY-NINE responds by offering more than a service: a space to slow down, take care of oneself, and reconnect within a structured, benevolent, and human framework. Wellbeing here extends beyond the body — it encompasses mental balance and social connection.
Our role is to cultivate a community grounded in shared values, where everyone feels welcomed, understood, and supported. It is this quality of presence and human connection that enables true, lasting transformation.
iPremium: If you had to define the future identity of THIRTY-NINE in one inspiring sentence, what would it be?
Cyrille Pinçon: A Members Club conceived as a true art of living, where performance, wellbeing, and human connection come together naturally to offer lasting balance and quality of life.
iPremium: Looking ahead, how do you see yourself in five years — as a leader, a person, and a global citizen?
Cyrille Pinçon: In five years, I see myself as a leader even more aligned — able to take perspective, to transmit knowledge, and to continue learning. Someone committed to developing meaningful projects, placing human connection, balance, and the quality of relationships at the heart of every decision.
On a personal level, I attach great importance to the values I pass on. I would like my children to be proud of a journey guided by the desire, in my own way, to make the world a little better — by valuing human connection, balance, and respect for oneself and others.
As a global citizen, I hope to remain involved in responsible and sustainable projects, convinced that caring for oneself and caring for others are inseparable foundations of the wellbeing of tomorrow.
